Choosing air conditioning installation in La Zenia

Choose the layout, drainage and outdoor location before choosing the finish of the indoor unit.

For an AC installation in La Zenia, settle the outdoor location and drainage as well as the rooms you want to cool. In an apartment or urbanisation, those choices can affect neighbours and community property. A survey should resolve them before the quote is accepted, while you can still change the layout.

Same floor area, different cooling needs

Give the installer the room sizes, glazing, orientation, shade and how you use the rooms. A sunny top-floor bedroom can need a different design from a shaded room downstairs even when they measure the same.

Ask how the air reaches the spaces you want to cool. One large unit in the living room doesn't automatically make closed bedrooms comfortable.

Agree where everything outside goes

Have the proposal show the outdoor unit, brackets, vibration control, pipework, power and condensate drain. Ask about noise near bedrooms and exposure to coastal conditions.

Check community rules and the municipal requirements for the exact work. A terrace location can still affect the façade or common elements. Don't order first and ask permission once the installer is on the ladder.

Check the installation company

Use a registered thermal-installation company with the additional authority needed for any refrigerant work. The Generalitat source below explains the framework. Ask what testing and documents are included in its price.

Have the operation demonstrated

At handover, ask to see cooling, heating where provided, controls and drainage working. Have the installer explain the settings and maintenance you can do yourself. Keep the model details, instructions, warranty, invoice and applicable installation records together.

Before you go ahead

  • Heat-load factors assessed
  • Outdoor route approved
  • Drainage and noise addressed
  • Enabled company checked
  • Commissioning documents received

Common questions

Can I put the outdoor unit on my terrace?

A terrace location may still affect external appearance, common property, noise or drainage. Check the community and municipal position before fixing equipment.

Is one large unit better than two smaller units?

It depends on room layout, doors, loads and control needs. Ask for a design that explains how conditioned air will reach each occupied space.
